MGB Resources

Mass General Brigham has several resources related to DEI. These can be accessed on MGB Vitals.

Specific initiatives/resources include:

  • United Against Racism (UAR) is our long-term, multi-million-dollar commitment to address the many impacts that racism has on Mass General Brigham patients, employees and the broader community. We believe that systemic racism is a public health issue which impacts our patients, workforce and the communities we serve. Working collectively, we are taking action across the system to dismantle racism and learning as we go. Visit the UAR SharePoint page and UAR external webpage for updates on our progress made under United Against Racism focus areas.
  • Breaking Assumptions Toolkit – Mass General Brigham knows the importance of providing our workforce with resources to best support everyone in our system. We also know that the disability community is diverse and intersectional, where everyone’s lived experience is unique. The Breaking Assumptions toolkit is designed to help our employees better understand how they can support accommodations and create a more inclusive workplace. The toolkit features sections including language, disclosing disabilities and resources. Breaking Assumptions is available to all employees. There is a toolkit dedicated to supporting employees and another one dedicated to supporting managers.
  • 2022 DEI Summit – The sixth annual DE&I Summit focused on learning more about diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as developing skills to Name it, Act on it, and Change it in your day-to-day work.  Click here to view the recordings
  • Employee Resource Groups – The Mass General Brigham Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is honored to support Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups that serve as a resource for members and organizations by fostering a diverse, inclusive workplace aligned with organizational mission, values, goals and business practices. All employees can access the Communities platform. You do not have to be an ERG member to visit the platform or join a listed event. ERGs from across the system are hosted on our Communities @ Mass General Brigham platform.
